How can enzymes working in your body?

Everything that goes on in our body, be it proper system or organ functions, even breathing, eating and movements, rely on the cells to produce the right chemical reactions at the right time.
The catalyst for all chemical reactions in the body is the complex protein molecules known as enzymes. It is estimated that the human body has 75,000 different enzymes.

Most of us were taught from young that the proper way to eat our meals is to finish the food on the plate first and then "wash things down" with a glass of water or soup. However, we may need to break away from long accustomed ways of eating in order to ensure our enzymes do their work properly so we get maximum benefits from the food we eat. It is not just what we eat daily, but also how we eat. Here are some tips:

Eat Balanced Meals.: Make sure each meal contain the seven components; carbohydrate, protein, fat, vitamin, mineral, water and fiber a simple serving of rice with fish and fresh vegetables among examples of a balanced meal. It also helps to drink fresh fruit and vegetable juices together with our meals.

Always Chew Thoroughly Before You Swallow: Never swallow the food until you've chewed it at least 40 times. This is so that solid food is broken into smaller pieces and its surface area increases. When the surface area is more exposed, more biochemical reactions will take place and thus most of the food will be digested and absorbed. If the food is not broken into smaller portions, only certain parts will be acted upon by the enzymes and the rest will be excreted and therefore wasted. Enzymes are not capable of acting on hidden surfaces, especially on fatty substances in a watery environment.

Do Not Drink Water Immediately After Eating Solid Food: Wait at least 5 to 10 minutes before drinking any water after eating food. This is to allow the enzymes to act on the small pieces of food. Drinking water immediately will dilute these enzymes.
